Blxst, a versatile artist who came out of South Central Los Angeles. Blxst started his own label named Evgle back in 2015, released his debut album No Love Lost which is a must to listen to. Blxst brings a sound back to LA rappers that we really haven’t had since the late great Nate Dogg. Blxst released two new songs Don’t forget, which features Drako the Ruler,  an LA great in the streets from the Stinc Team. Fck Boys, which features New Jersey’s own Russ brings a well written lyrics (like always) and sound that compliments Blxst on this track.

Brent Faiyaz released another song this year called Show U Off. Brent released six songs this year, the first two was an unofficial release that you could only get on his drop box link. Now people have pulled the songs and put them on soundcloud and youtube. The third song off of the unofficial release, Circles, featuring PURR has a music video. Gravity featuring Tyler The Creator, which Tyler did his thing like always. Eden (from “Black History Always/ Music For the Movement Vol. 2”) was another release. Brent is a very talented artist who came out of Maryland. In his early days, he had a group called Sonder, with songs that are a must to listen to. Brent’s early work shows us the potential he had, which paid off when he landed a feature on Goldlink’s track Crew. Brent has an ability in music that not a lot of artists have. He makes music that has longevity. Brent’s early work is still played by a lot of people, not like how for example Lil Xans music is holding up. Brent just doesn’t miss, and unpopular opinion, his run was better then Bryson Tiller.

Giveon re releases two of his previous projects into one, When It’s All Said And Done… Take Time. When Giveon, from Long Beach with baritone vocals debut single Garden Kisses was released in 2018, he showed the world what he has to offer. Giveon’s has a talent to story tell in his songs, and make them relatable to the audience. In March 2020, Giveon released his ep TAKE TIME which showed off what he is fully capable of. TAKE TIME is an ep that is well put together and honestly has no skips. Following this ep Giveon got offered a spot on Drake’s track Chicago Freestyle, which shot him into a whole new spot light. Following the feature, Giveon released another ep titled When It’s All Said And Done. Giveon is gifted and has a good fan base. Hopefully 2021 is the year he takes his career to a whole new level.

Kid Ink released a new single called Red Light. Kid Ink hasn’t really been a big name in music for a while now. Back in 2013-2015 Kid Ink was all over the music industry, every radio station was playing his songs. Kid Ink was making club hits and radio hits, but his buzz was short lived. Hopefully Kid Ink can recreate the same energy he

had back in the day now.

YBN Nahmir released a new single called Fast Car Music. Nahmir started off playing Grand Theft Auto and rapping in xbox live parties, which led to him dropping Rubbing Off the Paint on youtube using a free youtube beat. Nahmir was also featured on his YBN brother YBN almighty jay’s no hook. YBN added another member, YBN Cordae who quickly rised to the top and out

shined YBN altogether. In a smart move Cordae left YBN and is currently working on music independently, and is having major success. YBN Almighty Jay and Nahmir had a falling out over the group.  Even though it looks like YBN is no longer on good terms with each other, Nahmir still has plans of putting YBN back in the spotlight.
