Your health is the most important factor in living a good life. 

At times,  we may get stressed out – whether it’s for a test we didn’t study for or a problem we just can’t solve. It is always important to do mental check- ins with the people you love and care about. 

Growing up,  many people struggle with their own mental health and don’t know what they can do to help themselves. Lowering your stress levels can help keep you healthy.  Here are some ways you can improve your mental health. 

  1. Meditating can be a great tool in eliminating stress. 
  2. Talk to someone.  Being able to talk to someone you trust can be good for you. At school there are many adults that are available to talk about anything –  even if you have just had a bad day.   Councillors are available to talk when you’re having trouble with problems or just feel sad. 
  3. Getting involved in activities.  Growing up, I had depression and I still struggle with it from time to time. Getting involved in activities like electives and sports was a huge help.  These activities ended up being very good for my mental health.

Talking about Mental Health can be a sensitive topic for some but always remember to stay positive and appreciate yourself.
