Supe’s Corner 11/16/20
November 14, 2020
As we quickly near the end of fall semester, I wanted to take this opportunity to encourage everyone to do their best to push through these remaining days of school. Beginning Monday November 16, we have a total of only FOURTEEN full regular days of school plus four 12:15 dismissal days. That’s exciting for everyone anxious to get a three-week vacation, but it also means you need to finish strong and do everything in your power to pass all of your classes. If you fail one of more classes, you will not be able to participate in any of the fun intersession classes being offered for five weeks beginning January 4, 2021. Instead, you will spend those five weeks in credit recovery making up any class or classes you fail. It would be so much more enjoyable for you to take advantage of one of our Los Angeles Mission College Dual Enrollment courses, including:

We will also be offering NVMI electives for interested students who passed all of their classes. Those include photography, drawing, computers, drama, dance, music, filmmaking, cooking, cheerleading, athletic conditioning, weightlifting, aerobics, yoga, hiking, robotics, rocketry, orienteering, and geocaching. But you can’t enjoy those classes if you have not successfully passed ALL of the classes you are now taking (and passed any previous courses you failed and had to complete in credit recovery).
We have wonderful tutors available before school, after school and on Saturdays. Please take advantage of them to help you with missing assignments, studying for tests, and preparing for final exams. Here are the google classroom codes:
BEFORE SCHOOL HOMEWORK HELP= ye2q3r6
AFTER SCHOOL MIDDLE SCHOOL TUTORING = 533fp27
AFTER SCHOOL HIGH SCHOOL TUTORING = twqwunv
Email your teachers if you have questions about missing work. We are allowing any work from the entire semester to be turned in for full credit, because we know how challenging distance learning synchronously all day every day has been. But that means you need to get your work done so you can pass all of your classes and participate in the five weeks of fun beginning in January.
Best wishes to you all!
Dr. Ryan
